i have had this problem b4 and found that the avi file appeared to be the problem, the audio codec bitrate didnt match the video fps codec so when i reencoded the file it failed and i got the message bout jobs not done. i fixed this by using virtualdub http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/ and ...

hmmmm...well im not that technicaly saavy but i know virtdub allows u to save the the audio seperate from the video and just render the video, dont know if that will work for u. http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/ there is also avidemux that demuxes the audio and video to seperate files, i believe ...

this program works great! i can load serveral avi files (tv series episodes) and batch encode all of them and join them into 1 file and burn them to dvd using the iso that this program creates. so far to do what ive been doing i had to use virtdub to reencode the files to have the same fps/bitrate ...

hmmmm... if u have audio streams within the avi, a2d should auto load them, but if a2d is not recognizing the streams re encode usin virtual dub and then re run thru a2d.

its basically giving u a "worst case" scenario so it tells u, it needs 9GB but it doesnt take up 9GB for a 5 min movie.

u need to download the codec and install the codec. if u cant find the codec try this software http://fcchandler.home.comcast.net/stable/index.html and reencode the file with a codec that u have and then rerun thru a2d.

wierd, dvd5 should say 4.7GB. to do batch encoding just import ur avi set ur paramaters that u will use for all ur files click add job, ur file should show up in the bottom right of the a2d screen, then import ur other files 1 by 1 and just click add job on each (since ur parameters are already set ...

reencode all files with virtualdub (so that all files have same bitrate, fps and codecs) save as avi, rename all files to cd1.avi, cd2.avi, cd3.avi, etc (keep all files in the same folder so a2d can grab all files 1 ata time to create the iso [if u chose to create iso] and vob files and rerun thru ...
