i have this problem too. but only with this program(Txt2Vobsub) v3.4 i think you dont need an firmware upgrade . just use SubtitleCreator and enjoy! Here with my popcorn Hour A110, I'm getting very good result using Txt2Vobsub, while SubtitleCreator gives me unacceptable result, with non-watchable ...

thanks for your help, and the great information you've posted. I'm going to use what you've suggested. I have the Nero Micro, I thought it is the best and will cause less problems, but it seems that, even this micro generates problems too.

I did that, I just installed latest divx codec. Now it works.
strange think is that, the subtitles appears when using the divx player, but in VLC and media player classic, I selected them, but they are not shown.

I'm having the same problem also. Every things seems to go correctly and I got the new file with a little bigger size, but I cannot see any subtitle in my PC or my standalone DVD player. I'm using WinXP. This is really strange as I tried avisub lots of time before without any problem in my old WinXP ...

I'm using AviSub, but I feel that the font on my TV is not "sharp" enough.
What is the best setting to have it clearer? what colour to use? Bold font or not?
I tried much settings and could not finalize/get the best solution for the clearance of the font on TV.

let us put it like this.
If I have an avi file already having one subtitle by AviSub, is it possible to add another subtitle to this avi file?
I hope there exists a way to do so.

I do not know if it is possible to take out hte subtitle so that, one can come back with the original avi file.

is it possible to add a new subtitle to the DVD and keep the original DVD menus?
