I finally found a solution to this. Rather than trying to convert the AVI file directly, I use MediaCoder to pull the video and convert it to mpeg layer 2 without the audio. My problem actually seems to be that the video is playing faster than the audio. Audio matches exactly between a DVD player and my original AVI file, but the video moves at a faster rate on the DVD player. Any clue what might be causing that?
