There are a few ways to do this. Most software players have an 'Open Folder' sort of option. You should also be able to go to the VIDEO_TS folder and double click the VIDEO_TS.IFO file. These options will load the complete DVD, with the needed sub info. Previewing just a VOB will not work for ...

You can't watch individual VOBs and expect to see subs. You have to open and watch the complete DVD.

Which encoder did you try? Try them all.

Can I use AVI2DVD WITHOUT Avisynth ?

No. You must have it on your computer.

I had it installed in it's default location and had no problems installing the latest AVI2DVD.
