Vobsub Muxer and AviAddXsub

Dear Trustfm, I'm using Egreat R1 HDplayer and I find it not easy to read srt subtitle 'cos the outline is too thin. I've been using Txt2vobsub quite for long and it works well with SD movies. For the case of HDmovies, the output resolution of Txt2vobsub is too small and it doesn't look nice on TV ...

Still no DTS support?

A friend of mine, who had good experience with Avi2DVD using CCE, always recommend this application to me if I should convert MKVs to DVDs. He said even with only 1 pass, the resulted DVD was quite good, much better than others, including ConvertXtoDVD, which is commercial. And his screenshots ...

Before I used to use srt2bmp to create xsub file and it was very helpful in showing where the subs will show on either 4:3 or 16:9 TV, with guide lines of the ratio of the move (in its case, the resolution of the avi). I would suggest, though I have no idea if it difficult or easy to implement ...

sorry to upset you but I think what DVDSubEdit shows is the timing of the final DVD. My workaround now is like this. 1) srt => sup by txt2sup (hope that you can support format tags) 2) resync the sup with the original srt by Subtitle Creator (the "Load Synchronized Subtitle..." feature) - also hope ...

sup delayed after converted

I have a DVD and an srt file. I play the DVD with KMPlayer and load the srt file and the timing looks good. I use then txt2sup to convert it to .sup files. The DVD is demuxed by pcgDemux (.m2v + ac3) then muxed again by ifoEdit (.m2v + ac3 + sup). Now the new dvd shows subtitle a little blt slower ...

Kolla Player + xsub

I wonder if Kolla Player would handle xsub stream in .divx files created by AviSub. I'm so tired of the buggy DivxPlayer

Yes, it is supposed to be bigger. if the filesize is too big for a CD then you have to consider (i) burning it to a DVDR or (ii) cut the unnecessary part from the movie, say the credits at the end, and it will fit. I do that all the time.

Or you open the srt with Notepad and save it as a new srt file, making sure that "ANSI" is selected in the Encoding pulldown menu.
