Still oversized output in v0.6.2

I don't want to be mean because I really love this program, but how many more updates before the oversize bug is finally addressed? The problem really seems to be that the target video bitrate doesn't subtract the audio track's bitrate from the total. I've never seen such a persistent pointless bug ...

I did a search and don't see it mentioned, but I still get oversized discs with 0.6.1.

I have done everything I can think of, and can't find any trick in this thread that I haven't tried already, and still no audio stream. I have every codec installed. Everything else works, I can play anything, convert anything. I've reconverted and renamed and moved. I've run Avi2dvd as a different ...

Bugs still present in v0.5...

I've already found 2 previous bugs still appearing in the latest version of AVI2DVD. - CCE is passed the wrong average bitrate. DVDs are still oversized. It looks like the audio bit rate isn't being subtracted, but I can't be sure. - On PAL to NTSC conversion with subtitles: Subtitles are retimed ...

Two jobs have the same output path.

Found a bug in v.5.

When trying to use Modify Job for an existing job in the queue you receive:
"Two jobs have the same output path. Please change the output path of the second job."

Modify Job is now broken. :-(

I was fine with version .44(?). I just installed v.5 and had no audiostreams. When I installed I unselected the options to install FFdshow & Xvid (since the bundled versions are now out of date). I also deselected "Register filters" (to avoid conflict with my existing codecs). I fixed this problem ...

+1 open source. This project is looking dead dead dead but there's enough fans. I'm sure someone would love to take it up.

Also: Jettison AC3Enc for Aften. AC3Enc is dated and was never that great. Aften is still BeSweet/CLI compatible.

I would say try installing avi2dvd then reinstalling subtitle workshop.

I have to do the same with ac3filter. Avi2DVD installs a much older version and deregisters the newer one.

Tested and was very pleased with the quality, simplicity and flexibility of FAVC. The only downside is there is no CCE support, only HC and Quenc. That of course makes it much slower than anything that uses CCE. There's even one pass predictive, which I love. The features and ability to tweak are ...
