I tried that too. I even took it out of it's folder and put it on the C: drive and renamed it to Monk.avi so it would be as simple in path and name as possible and that still didn't help.

So, no suggestions to my problem or am I missing something obvious?

Everytime I try to load this avi in Avi2Dvd it gives me that error. I thought it was strange cause it's an xvid file. I don't think it's HD or anything like that. I just burned my first ever DVD last night using Avi2Dvd. I used an .srt file and it worked perfectly. The DVD plays in my old PS2 and I can turn the subs on and off. I read through your other thread. I can't imagine what could be going wrong.
