Yea, this could actually not be far from the truth. When I start to think, the problems might have started to appear for me after I installed Nero 6 Ultra edition. The problems went from bad to worse..

Yes I started to think that the subtitles was the problem, but I can't convert regular movies (with or without subs) anymore either :S I don't know what the problem is.. but it started after trying to encode the mkv files. I began to wonder if my codecs don't work properly, but the encoding is not ...

I also have problems with MKV-files. I've tried to make six 20 min episodes to a single dvd with 1 audiostream and 2 subtitles (english,german). The 2 first times it worked great, but I chosed the wrong type of font for the subtitles. Then suddenly it wouldn't complete the encoding anymore.. Avi2dvd ...

I had the same problem when I tried to make some OGMs to dvd. The solution was as you said to first convert the files to AVIs with virtualdubmod... But unfortunately that does not work with MKV files :S

Okay, I may have been a little unclear with my earlier post. What I'm basically trying to say is: When I encode it doesn't finish as it's suppose to do, there's always some errors. I can never get the full movie in the VIDEO_TS folder, but the video files(m2v) that I've encoded are still in the ...

I've starting to get troubles with avi2dvd more an more now. A very annoying problem now is that my computer reboots when starting the pulldown of the "Pulldown_Video.m2v begins".
