thanks 4 the info still a newbie at this and trying to burn dvd was hard enough trying 2 put on cd even harder thanks again

can i burn an avi i converted to a mini dvd file on a cd+r or do i need to convert it to a vcd format? u can burn vcd onto a cd+r, right? and which programs r best for this type of conversion? thanks in advance, please forgive the newbie.

4.3 is only one i've tried so far will look for another version and try that thanks for the idea

usually u won't have to convert an mpg 'cos my standalone dvd player will play mpgs fine but won't recognize avi or anything else for that matter....but plays mpgs all day long, just with no ff or rw capabilities. hope that helps
