Unable to execute application mp3-ac3

Everything works till I say go. This is the log:

It stops at this stage and I get the message, cannot execute application.
How do I get this to work? Please help. I use win98 SE and avi2dvd ver 0.3.0

damn !!! i must find an win98 version too to check it out ....
Its a known bug ... on winxp / 2000 does not exist this kind of bug ...

I bieleve that the problems lies with the fact that win 98 uses FAT 32, since NTFS was not complied till late Win NT 3.51/4.0 and NTFS 5.0 was not defaulted till Win 2000.

All jobs done with zero result.

(I know it is a small file, but it is the first try with Avi2DVD and I decided to use only a few minutes of film to see where I am getting... Well, not far, so far.

I'm having exactly the same problem. Everything works fine until I come to the mp3 >ac3 conversion. The program pops up with the same error as above. I am using Windows ME. If anyone knows a way around this PLEASE help.

I forgot to mention in the above posting. I chose not to install the AVI Synth part of the program. I don't know if that will have any effect on the results or not.

i have had this problem b4 and found that the avi file appeared to be the problem, the audio codec bitrate didnt match the video fps codec so when i reencoded the file it failed and i got the message bout jobs not done.

i fixed this by using virtualdub http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/ and reencoding the file to divx4 fast motion for video and lame mp3 48khz 128kbps 2channel stereo for audio resaved the file and then ran it thru a2d and it worked (this was also batched into 1 file for a 4hour movie)


also i would suggest installin avisynth for ur map tables and chapter points or else the dvd author wont do anything for u

"Error! Couldn't execute the application". Program will not close after error, have to use ctrl-alt-del to exit.

Using v0.3.1 with Win98SE 1.2ghz P3 512mb ram.
Best I can tell, avi file is divx mp4. Plays fine in mplayer 6.4.8.4.
File converts to mpeg using TMPGEnc-2.524.63.181 sucessfully.
Resulting mpeg also plays in mplayer perfectly.
Resulting mpeg will not convert to VOB using Cucusoft DVD Author MPEG to VOB Converter 1.09. (MS VisualC++ Runtime abnormal termination) I realize this is not a Cucusoft forum - I'm just trying to provide all available information in an attempt to get to the bottom of this.

Exactly the same problem as the thread starter

Also AVI2DVD won't close, it ignores the "yes" in the close dialog. I have to use the Close Program window to quit.
