A lot of people mails to me just telling me how can i burn now my dvd etc ...
I thought that it was easy to figure out but i was wrong .
Lets see the three cases :

1) I made an DVD
a) Go to /avi2dvd_temp/DVD/VIDEO_TS folder and load the VIDEO_TS.IFO on ak player or any other player like windvd etc ...
b) See if the movie is complete and try to enable the subtitles using your dvd player to see if everything is ok . Many people thinks that the subtitles are ON the movie . They are selectable ! The user must select them in order to see them .
c) If everything is ok you must burn ONLY the DVD_Image.iso and nothing else lets see HOW .
d) Run nero
e) Press recorder
f) Press Burn Image
g) Load the iso from ../avi2dvd_temp/DVD_Image.iso
h) And just press BURN

2) I made an SVCD/VCD
a) Go to /avi2dvd_temp/ folder and load the muxed_file00.mpg (PART1) muxed_file01.mpg (PART2) on ak player or any other player like windvd etc ...
b) See if the movie is complete. In this case you must see your subtitles since that are not selectable.
c) If everything is ok you must burn ONLY the CD_Image_File_CD1.cue , CD_Image_File_CD2.cue etc for each cd. Lets see HOW .
d) Run nero
e) Press recorder
f) Press Burn Image
g) Load the cue from ../avi2dvd_temp/CD_Image_File_CD1.cue
h) And just press BURN

I hope that now everything is clear !

Hi mate, with reference to the selectable subtitles and my previous post here.

I have played several dvd's now that were purchased ready made.

In each case I can successfully switch the subtitles on and off with ease, however this is not the case in the film I mentioned in the earlier thread which was encoded using AVI2DVD.

This may be as a result of something I did wrong in the set up, but I would be interested to learn if anyone has successfully encoded an AVI using a .srt subtitle as I am now certain that I can't using AVI2DVD :?

I just burned my first ever DVD last night using Avi2Dvd. I used an .srt file and it worked perfectly. The DVD plays in my old PS2 and I can turn the subs on and off. I read through your other thread. I can't imagine what could be going wrong.

Hehe, didn't work :D

I can only assume that when I converted the vobsub to .srt it made it unusable, although when opened with notepad it seems fine.

Back to the drawing board

Here's a link to where I got my .srt file. It's the srt for ep. 5.

Maybe you can compare the two and get a clue as to what is going on.

Hi mate, thanks for that :D

Unfortunatly I can't see where to download the subs from :?

The sub descriptions don't appear to be linked to anything.

How do I download them?
