What is avi2dvd doing while the encoder is running?

I'm just curious what avi2dvd is doing while the encoder is running. The encoder is taking up one core, and avi2dvd is using the other core, but there is no disk I/O being performed by avi2dvd.

I guess that avi2dvd do nothing.

I have an AMD64 X2, dual core system. While the encoder is running and using one core, avi2dvd is using the other core.

Perhaps it is in an infinite loop without a sleep waiting for the encoder to finish? Or is this a dual core bug?

This was discussed just recently but trustfm has not chimed in yet so everything is just speculation at this point
