Adobe Premiere output AVI problem (DV Codec Inst'd)

Post by levorta »

Hi. I am trying to encode an AVI file to DVD that I created in Premiere Pro 2.0.

At first I was getting the error described here.

So I downloaded the latest Panasonic codec and installed it. I no longer get that error but it still does not encode.

NOTE: The footage was shot with two different cameras, one Panasonic, one Sony. This should not effect the encoding process should it?

When I run the conversion it 'demuxes' for a minute and outputs the AudioStream 1 AC3 2CH.ac3 file.

Then BeSpilt runs and kicks back real quick with a 'Job Not Done' error.

So it seems to be an audio problem right? Codec?

Any help is appreciated.

the corredct audio format is wav to these kind of videos ... so maybe you got an compatible ac3 codec that conflicts so the audiostream gets detected as ac3 which is NOT true so it cannot processed by besweet. Did you have tried on another pc to see if the problem remains ?

thx. Is there any way to turn off the ac3 codec so it will just decode the wav?

I don't have anither pc to try it on but suspect the problem is local.
