problem with subtitle character set

Avi2Dvd work OK, but subtitle character set ISO8859-2 (czech) is not correct. Latin letter "z" with caron (code U+017E) is displayed as Low line, latin letter "s" with caron (code U+061E) is displayed as Low line.
Where is problem? :(

:? Solution: The Sours Subtitle was in Windows 1250 character set.

i think that the same problem have the bulgarian friends of avi2dvd :roll:

I have the same problem with Equilibrium czech subtitles. Does it mean that I have to choose CP1250 character set for them to display them correctly or what?? I?m beginner in this so explain it as simple as possible :oops:

( Po?urite =Po urite ) Bad!
( Svakako =Svakako ) OK
(Čekaj = Čekaj ) OK
What Options Subtitles ...Croatian ???
( ? ? Č Ć ? ? č ć ) = ( _ _ _ _ _ _ _ )

You have to use CP1250.

for trustfm: if CP1250 really works better, couldn't you in future versions set the default character set to it instead of ISO 8859-2?
