I receved this interesting mail ! Please check out !
Hi trustfm
I hope this is appropriate e-mail address to address this to, if not I apologize.
I?ve been exploring AVI2DVD v0.4.3 beta, I have been experiencing the anomaly with HCEnc generating application read errors which beats the purpose of AVI2DVD automation design.
I?ve spent some time to thoroughly search your support forum and I?ve not found any solutions, some theories like upgrading to recent release of HCEnc ? 0.16, but done this to no avail.
And of course one can use Prodater64 utility, Kill-Error utility which works but not an ideal thing for many. Besides, I traced much deeper problem, encoding just isn?t the same/proper with systems that has this application read error.
From what I gathered off the official and unofficial forums, people has no ideas of exactly what?s happening, or even close to know, they blame system setups/configurations which easy way to be seen as knowledgeable user who knows what they are talking about.
I?ve had my own theories, being popular codec packages like K-Lite Codecs (which I use), I always use recent versions, and the most recent is 2.67 Full, I like K-Lite Codec Pack, and I refuse to uninstall this popular product.
Therefore I started debugging, and traced the anomaly back to XVID MPEG-4 Codec,
xvid;-;XVID Mpeg-4;5.2.1.1328;-;C:\WINDOWS\system32\xvidvfw.dll
Disabling this permits AVI2DVD to encode properly, and fully without any anomalies interruptions.

Is there a way to "disable" the XviD MPEG-4 codec without uninstalling XviD? If I uninstall XviD, then GSpot says I do not have the correct codec for my AVI files. (Trying to convert AVI --> DVD but keep running into HCEnc error that causes only half of video to be processed.)
I've also tried using TMPGenc, but the resulting DVD has no sound.

HC update
I tried what ya'll said to update this file. But I could never FIND a file to rename. It just runs and then is gone. So I haven't got a clue as to whether it updated my Avi2Dvd or not. I was soooooo hoping it would fix whatever is wrong here. Avi2Dvd.. is just not working for me. Always get errors. And I followed the guide...so ... clueless. Is it me? or the program...? Should I just find another program to convert my avi's?
