Hi, trying to convert 350Mbyte, 45 minute XviD/avi to DVD-format, done it before using avi2dvd 0.3.0, but for some reason that one now stopped just before the second pass of QuEnc.
So, went to 0.4.3, yes!, it passes on to the second stage. But it craps out around dvd-authoring, and leaves nothing but a 110 megabyte audiofile and a bunch of logs.

Getting pissed off, I tried to start dvdauthor manually using the created batchfile, just to see if there were any messages. Guess what - I actually got a useful errormessage about possible cygwin1.dll versionconflicts, which made me realize I have a service running that also uses cygwin1.dll, but (of course) a different version. Copying the cygwin1.dll from that tool (cwrsyncserver) into the dvdauthor folder seems to have fixed the whole damn thing.
So, keep this one for the records - version-mismatches of cygwin1.dll can cause problems that won't show up in the usual logs, and if you have more than one cygwin1.dll on your system, replace 'm all with the latest version.
