I started using Avi2DVD at the current edition (0.4.4 beta) to convert an avi to DVD with one (English) subtitle. Curiously, no ISO file or the DVD folder are generated in the end. However when I tried not adding subtitles and not adding a menu, the convertion went without any problems (and the quality is super-good too!!! Better than the original avi, I think...)
Since I like the quality of the DVD file generated so much (even though subtitling and adding menu has been a failure), I wonder if there is another way to add subs without lowering the quality, or maybe there's something I've done wrong with AVI2DVD? If anyone can check what mistake I have made or recommend a program to add subs to a DVD without a menu, I will be really grateful!
When I tried adding subtitles and a menu, the avi2dvd_temp folder in the end contains an ac3 file, avi2dvd log, besplit log, besweet log, Spumux (an XML document), an mpeg file with 0 MB, and an avisynthscript file.
And the log of the avi2dvd log says the following:

Btw, when checking pal-ntsc, the first subtitle field gets whiped..
