No AudioStream?

Hi, im kinda new to this, but im trying to convert a .avi file to DVD. but on the select AudioStream dropdown list there is nothing? I have to select something but there is nothing to select, could someone please explain

No Audio file to load.... one answer possibly.

I experienced this also until I took a close look at my file name and the "full path name", i.e. all the related(nested) folder names.

As Rod replied to another/similar post:

"I don't know much, but I have experienced this before. Just rename your file to a shorter name using letters/numbers only, and it should work...
this worked for me..."

I am new to this...now trying to burn DVD's....I am having the same problem of no getting a drop down option for "Choose Audiostream"....I have shortened the name of the .avi file and still no luck. Can someone please help me with this??

If the codec is unreckonized by your system no audio will play because it does not nknow how to play it. Although many frown upon codec packs, I find it is the easiest solution and works best for MOST users needs. However it should be said that it would be preferable to install each codec you need manually rather than an entire pack, but it sure is a heck of a lot esaier, and to be frank I have not had any problems with "k-lite codec pack", and the uninstaller actually works, unlike many packs.
