Error When Converting

Post by RiCeVeRyDaY »

Hi, I just downloaded and learned how to use this program today. I read most of the instructions I could get in this forum and the official site. I seem to be getting a Error message when I'm trying to convert my AVI file, here is what it says...

_______________________________________________________________
ERROR

AVISource: couldn't locate a decompressor for fourcc xvid
(C:WINDOWS/Temp/Avi2dvd_Temp/Avisynth_Script_File.avs, line 2)

I had the same problem. I found out that that message is caused by a missing codec. in my case it was DIV3 low-motion. which is hard to track down because it is aparently illegal. Who knows? try runing "gspot" on it and it will tell you what codecs you need

Indeed, had the problem as well, install the required codec and all will be fine ;)

Same problem, can't fix

Hi everyone.

I'm getting the same error message as Riceveryday.

I used Gspot and i have all the necessary codecs installed.

I have tried uninstalling Nero, Avi2Dvd, and AviSynth, clearing the registry, and reinstalling the latter two programs but none of this has helped.

Please help me.
