I tested AVI2DVD, then I decided not to use it because I was mainly interested in NTSC-> PAL conversion and doing it wasn't so intuitive.
I uninstalled it and now I'm unable to play AVI files (with MP3 or AC3 audio) and so on..
I used 'DirectShow Manager' and I saw thet all the audio and filters instaled with AVI2DVD were still the 'defaulf' filters even if I uninatalled it (and, usig the uninstaller, all the filters were removed).
So I had to re-load manually any DirectShow filter.
On your un-installer you might have added this warning or, at least, you misgth have left the possibility to keep the OGM , the AC3 and so on filters.
The way the uninstaller worked wasn't good, for me. Luckily I managed to restore all my previous filters (Lame, InterVideo, etc.).
Could you fix it?
AVI2DVD made a mess with my Directshow filters!

The Best Way to convert from NTSC to PAL or vise versa, that I have found is IFO Edit .96 Conversion takes seconds. It really doest convert the frames but it does trick dvd players by changing the header in the VIDEO_TS and VTS IFO files. Quick fix my Nig
Nice solution! Do you mean I can 'ticrk' my DVD player telling IFOEdit to author a PAL DVD using a NTSC movie?
But... I use v0.971 , so I never tested v0.96, but v0.971 doesn't ask me if I wont PAL or NTSC. It just authors a DVD, so I thought it was the movie's type which determined the DVD system.
So, when does IFO Edit 0.96 'tells' the player is PAL or NTSC?
I thought that if one authors a
720x576 @25 fps --> PAL, and
720x480 @29.97 --> NTSC.
