no one to help?

Post by maverich »

i have teh same problem with http://www.trustfm.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1245 and http://www.trustfm.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=1236 and no one has been able to give some answers. i can convert avi and mkv to dvd with avi2dvd and burn it in dvd-r with imgburn. the playback is great on my computer and on a dvd stand alone player except that the sound playback is much faster and not sync with the video. also, is there a way to add the subtitles from avi or mkv to the dvd? i read that the subtitles are hardcoded to the avi or mkv and it doesnt show on the converted dvd form.

any solutions?

thx in advance

i just figured out how to sync teh sound and video when converting avi>dvd. i just tried a different encoder. the one that worked for me is the HC encoder. maybe thats the solution for my problem but i will try converting more files to see if it is the case.

Your avi has either blank video frames or a few milli-seconds of audio frames at the start of the AVI. Chop off the first second of the video and all is well.
