motion menus...possible?

Post by annietron »

You know what i'm talking about here right?
Is there a way of having an animated background (avi clip) instead of a steady image?
..I wonder if altering the Avi2dvd_temp folder could work for this task...

Also, I was wondering if there could be like a post where users could be invited to redesign this great software's image. I'm a graphic designer, so I'm looking forward to it!

Well, this menu function in avi2dvd is very limited. You would have to use other authoring programs for complex menu creation. I have made suggestion in the recommendation thread that avi2dvd should gives users the option of NOT deleting the encoded mpg file after finishing.

At the moment, you can try what i did. When the program finished encoding, you should see a file called Encoded_Video_Muxed.mpg. That's the file you need. So before the program finishing creating dvd structure, make sure you right click the mpg file, click property and set it to read only. That way, the mpg file is not deleted even when program finishes and quits. You can then open the mpg file with any dvd authoring program to create complex menu. I am using TmpgEnc Dvd author. It will create motion chapter selection for you.

hope that helps
