I think quite a few people have experienced the same problem as you at some point, including me. My suggestion may sound simple...but it sorted out the problem for me.

P.S BEFORE FOLLOWING THESE STEPS, MAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOAD THE LATEST DIVX CODECS

It's all to do with changing filenames so they are not complicated, to be safe i make sure all my movies files and folders are "one" word only. Just follow these 4 steps below:

1 - For example, if i am converting a movie called "House Party 028" i would first rename it to something like just "Party"

2 - Put the movie your converting directly into one folder on your main hard drive (mines C drive yours may be named diffrent.), call the new folder something like "Movie".

e.g C:\Movie\Party.avi (this is were the movie file you want to convert is located)

3 - Make your output folder to something very simple as well. Directly on your main hardrive like above but create a folder called "Party" for example.

e.g C:\Party (avi2dvd will create a new folder called "Avi2dvd_temp" in that location, this is were your finished movie files will be.)

4 - Last thing, in the "Step2" tab on avi2dvd if you have ticked "Make Iso" make sure in the "Name" field you name the iso something that is no more than one word just to be safe. For example i could name it to something like just "Party"

Hope this helps you solve your problem, reply back and let me know how you got on. :D

the problem appears

The problem occurs when QuEnc opens up an error report comes up saying that QuEnc will have to close do i want to report the problem.

I do what is said above says anyway so no difference there and also have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software.
Which sorted out the interface not supported problem for me.

am really stumped with this one any one have any ideas?
