Access violation at address 00000000.

Access violation at address 00000000. Read of address 00000000.

This is still what I get when I try to load any avi file.

I've reinstalled every codec I had, installed literally dozens more just to see if that would help. No change whatever.

Some ideas? AVI2DVD is still my favourite tool for this; I really want to use it. But I'm fresh out of ideas.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

have you tried to put your files in c:\dvd. The directory "my documents" has a space and some programs can not take it.

I just had the same problem and was able to fix it.

1. Uninstall the program and clean the registry from it. Registry mechanic works well.
2. Restart and delete the folder in program files after the computer boots up.
3. Reinstall your codecs, such as ffdshow, which is a very nice pack.
4. Reinstall the program.
Hopefully that works for you guys cause that's what I did after getting that Access violation at address 00000000. Read of address 00000000.
