Please help! Error:" Find at the log file the 0 byte...

Post by NeilPhillips »

I have been looking everywhere for some software to produce DVDs from AVIs and was really excited to find AVI2DVD.

Everytime I try to convert a file I get the message:

[21:48:44] Job NOT Done. There are warnings ... Find at the log file the 0 byte generated file to focus where exactly the problem appears

I downloaded the XviD codec but this has not helped.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Neil.

Yeah I got the same problem and still can't find a soultion, although it was working before, but now its not. Weird -,- Its driving me crazy, I tried everything, removed codecs, installed them back on, uninstalled avi2dvd and installed it, installed other type of codecs, installed 2 kinds of codecs, still nothing.

Please post the entire log so it can be seen exactly where the conversion failed at... simply posting the last error message that ask you to look through the log for the error that displays a 0 byte file, does not help without the rest of the log.

Well I was more referring to NeilPhillips  , but your problem seems to be bug related rather than source/user related. Not that it couldn't be the latter heh, but from what it looks like it's a problem with the Spumux script. trustfm is already looking into it, so for now there's not too much you can so I suppose.

I've tried using different encoder, most of them didn't even get this far, managed to get ahold of CCE and tried it on 4 passes. It failed at the end of the 2nd pass......after an overnight encoding :? .

Having checked the movie with Gspot and Avicodec, both checked out fine with all the codecs installed and rendered fine....any suggestions?

Btw, loving this prog, only if I can actually get it to work

You can try to rewrite audio header with virtualdub, and then try again with avi2dvd, that has solve me a lot of problems...
