Problem with sound (not sync)

Post by Tabur »

Hi.

Im joining 8 episodes of a popular TV Show and i added each them subtitles.

I renamed the files to "something CD1,2,3,etc" and i get the episodes joined in one single file, but at the end in the DVD the sound goes at normal speed and the video goes faster, so in the 7th episode the sound has finished but not the video.

How can i fix this synchronization problem?

Thanks!

I'm looking for a solution to this problem, too. If I find one, I'll post here. :)

I also have this problem

I found a possible solution(haven't tried yet) Aparently this program AVI Mux Gui can fix.

1 drag and drop the avi file into AVI Mux Gui

2 double click the file

3 select the avi info from the bottom window

4 change the time in ms that show in a field in the right of the program (100 ms = 1 second)

hope this helps

I finally found a solution to this. Rather than trying to convert the AVI file directly, I use MediaCoder to pull the video and convert it to mpeg layer 2 without the audio. I then use an AC3 conversion program to pull the audio out of the AVI into AC3 format. At that point, I use the audio and video tracks separately to produce the DVD.

I can give specific program names later (when I'm at my home PC) if anyone is interested. The last program in the set cost me a pretty penny, though, as I broke down and bought Adobe Encore so I'd have better control over the menus.
