please help: Newbie totally confused

Hello, I am new to this software, and seem to be having trouble from the word go. I have finally got the program to convert the files but............ now it's saying
Job NOT Done. There are warnings ... Find at the log file the 0 byte generated file to focus where exactly the problem appears
Please please someone what does this mean. :?: This is the entire log.

try by reinstalling avi2dvd -... tell us what happened ...

:x I re installed avi2dvd, ran the program again, now it saying ....Avisynth error. Avisynth open failure.
AVIsource: couldn't locate decompressorfor fourcc divx. C:\v2dtemp\avi2dvd_temp\avisynth_script_file.avs,line2.
Anymore suggestions are greatly received

Aw I'm really fed up, tried using avi2dvd with a different movie and guess what, now its turning off my laptop. cant post the log as dont know when its going to turn off. I can tell you its after it starts video encoding. i have uninstalled the program again and reinstalled. Is there an idiots guide to this program :D
