Hi,
Don't know if this has been mentioned before.
Sometimes Avi2DVD can take a long time to complete (especially on a low spec computer).
Would be nice to have an option to suspend the encoding, switch of the computer and pick up again from where the encoding stopped, the next day...
Just a thought...

I don't know if this has been requested before but I think you could add a way to use .divx files as source for the movies and use the subtitles embebbed within it (done with avisub). I think that you could add a way to add 2 or more files to be compiled within the DvD without having to join the files together. That would be REALLY cool.

Thanks in advance,

Yeah that would be cool what i was going to suggest was to be able to add more then one file i have alot of episodes in mkv and ogm format but i have to do one at a time cause they have double audio, and i turn them to Vob then use nero to creat dvd would be better if i could just add all files and not have to wait and click on every single one. Specially scince each one is only 20 min long. Ps thanks for a great program.

The only suggestion I have is to include an option to upconvert 2 channel audio to 5.1. I know there is a tool called behappy developed by dimzon which allows you to do this. I thought if somehow you could incorporate this conversion in your application as an option to upconvert the audio, it would be great! I am not familiar with how to incorporate this but here is somewhere where you may be able to start:

oh and one more addition would be to tallow us to edit the avisynth file before encoding if we want to convert a hd anamorphic widescreen to regular widescreen. That's all I have. I think a lot of people would love the 2 additional mentioned above. Thanks!

First of all I have to I love the program, I've been using it for a while now and it is the best freeware avi-dvd conversion program on the net so I'm very appreciative.

My suggestion is building in support for a few more aspect ratios in the next version as I have a few avi's that are 2.35:1 & 1.85:1. Building this into the program would significantly improve the DVD's I burn from the avi's I have on my computer.

Aside from that I just want to say thanks for a great program :D

DVD+R 4.5GB

Post by Ummon »

I would like to see an option for DVD+R size discs. I have a boatload of high quality Taiyo Yuden DVD+R discs, but I won't be able to burn any DVD's created with AVI2DVD to them as long as there is only a profile for 4.7GB DVD-5's. These discs, and I believe all DVD+R discs, are 4.5GB, so the resulting DVD images are always slightly too big. My drive doesn't support overburning either. :(

Remove job after completion and default destination paths

Post by LanceG »

I would like to see a check box added that will have the program remove jobs from the list as they are completed. I sometimes find I need to encode more videos after completing several already. I have to click the delete button to clear each job.

Additionally (and I don't know if this has been requested elsewhere), I would like to be able to save certain defaults via the config.ini file, specifically the destination directory regardless of where my video file is loaded from (since it uses the same source folder by default).
