Image file size too large for blank dvd

I'm trying to convert a 723MB avi file. According to Avi2dvd, the output will require over 9GB of disk space. And it won't let me select multiple disks. What can I do?

Don't worry about it, from what I understand (and im very new at this mind you) thats just the space needed to generate temporary files and the result which could include an iso file as well as video_ts folder. The finished iso should be able to fit in a dvd (assuming you want to burn it as a dvd)
