Just a stab in the dark but i had a similar problem and fixed it by copying the avi to a folder on the route of c: Keep the folder name short and simple and rename the avi to something short and simple also ie. terminator.avi

Try running avi2dvd again and see if that helps

Sorry mate, that didn't work, I was trying to convert and burn 1408, it was just called "1408.avi" and it was in the "avi2dvd" directory. So, if anyone else has any ideas, I honestly am open to anything at this stage.

I am getting the same error. Have you had any luck solving the problem? It seems if I get a good video conversion, I loose audio and visa versa.

I had a similar problem. It turned out to be the codecs. I followed the instructions in the Features page, installed the appropriate codecs and it worked!
