Please see if CCE SP2 support can be integrated.

My top picks:

'A no re-encoding' option for ac3 or mpeg audio (if it's already in a DVD compatible format).
PCM audio as an output option.
Support for avisynth scripts as an input type (would allow more flexibility and even DVD to DVD encoding if prepped with DGDecode).
2 options for PAL to NTSC... with audio slow down (current method) or via pulldown flag (25 to 29.97 without change to the audio speed.)

Edit: Oh yes, and OPV (one pass vbr) with prediction!!!!!!

Resume from each phase is a MUST

Post by mishka.kipi »

Hi,

I've came accross a big problem for me, maybe for others too, having the AVI2DVD not to recognize the sub file after encoding the entire video.
The result of which, is not having the encoded film for reuse and not having the ability to reuse it in any automatic way in the program, beside the fact that the program does not offer an explanation for such behavior.
I've managed to overcome the sub problem (convert the sub file to UTF-8 since i'm using heb subs) but the fact is that if I forget to convert it, hours of encoding are wasted for nothing.

I'm very pleased from the functionality of the program, and the idea in general is great, but this lack of a "little" feature (as a programmer I know that it is not so little at all :) ) is frustrating.

So my suggestion is to add a resume feature, kind of Dissaster Recovery, for each phase, providing input ability for the resuming state and also partial file dumping for a failing phase and a full file saving for a successful one.

Thx.

my top picks:
no re-encoding for ac3
an ac3 variable boost option... "1" just isn't loud enough
a check box for somethinig like... "only create batch file" like favc. i love how favc allows you to just create the batch files and let's you run them later.

shit make it open source and i'll add those features if you don't have time. please?

+1 open source. This project is looking dead dead dead but there's enough fans. I'm sure someone would love to take it up.

Also: Jettison AC3Enc for Aften. AC3Enc is dated and was never that great. Aften is still BeSweet/CLI compatible.

The main thing that I think is lacking in the current version is that it only allows you to add external files for subtitles. It does not recognize that my mkv files already have subtitle tracks on them. It would be nice if the program treats subtitles like it treats audio and looks in the file to see how many subtitle tracks there are and allows you to import and use those and just convert them to a DVD subtitle track.

Once more...

Supporting of "<i></i>" tags in subtitles is very-very important.
At least line-by-line if inline tags are a problem.

Thank you!

Really a GREAT program...

EDIT
And once more again...
kschang wrote:What if there's a page where each of the steps are listed, and you get checkmarks so you can decide you want to skip a certain step or two? For example, once the AVI was joined, a "joined" AVI was created out of the two existing. Why MUX it again? If the joined AVI is there, allow me to SKIP the step. Or, if the audio file is already there, allow me to skip the audio step. And so on.
Please, add this too!

Suggestions for DVD Menu Creator

Post by cheebase »

In DVD Menu Creator...
1. ...allow saving/opening menus.

2. ...this would apply to joined .AVI segments.
Perhaps in addition to AddChapterButton in the Menu creation process, there could be an AutoAddSegmentBoundary radio button option as well to automatically create bookmarks for each joined .AVIs. These could be named Segment_x (where x is an incremental number of next .AVI) and listed in a movable box, initially in the lower right of the screen.
