Pump Up The Volume On DVD

Post by jerboa »

Whenever I convert an AVI to DVD, burn the ISO on a DVD then pop it into my DVD player I can barely hear the audio unless I max out my TV's volume.

Is there a switch or setting that may be manually configured in BeSweet that would Pump Up The Volume without resulting in distortion of the audio or video?

Thanks in advance for any help or reply!

Excalibur! - Thanks for your feedback. Hoping to avoid additional steps involving the recoding/enhancement of any audio.

Jones - Yes, it happens on most all AVI to DVD conversions that I have attempted. Research reveals that there may be an issue with ac3enc.dll and BeSweet's ability to convert.

The only other all-in-one conversion program that I found with volume boost was Cucusoft MPEG/AVI to DVD VCD SVCD MPEG - Video Converter Pro 6.11. It allows users to increase volume up to 20 times. My tests indicate that 2x - 3x may be sufficient for most AVI's with low volume audio.

trustfm - I look forward to downloading the update with a volume boost slider. Way to go!

By the way - I only used the Cucusoft MPEG/AVI to DVD VCD SVCD MPEG - Video Converter Pro 6.11 free trial version for testing and was very dissatisfied with its overall quality. AVI2DVD has it beat - hands down!
