BTW...I tried a 40min anime with avi2dvd.....same problem:
the muxed audio+video file is DELETED BEFORE dvdAuthor starts working so OUTPUT FILE is 0 byte.

Did you use the 0.2.4 ?

jaems-kun do this :
1)Download the modifided avi2dvd from here :
http://www.trustfm.net/helpfiles/Avi2Dvd.exe
2) Go to c:/program files / avi2dvd / and put there the downloaded Avi2Dvd.exe
3) Try a small film with only ONE subtitle and tell me what you get .
4)Make sutre that with the original 0.2.4 version does NOT work
