Convert 2 halves of a movie into one DVD

Post by CherryMay17 »

I realize there are other topics similar to this, however I am wanting some clarity on how to perform this task.

I am trying to convert two halves of a movie into one iso file so it can be burned to one DVD.

Some said name the .avi files (Name1.avi, Name2.avi, so on)

However after that step, what should you do? Do you just upload one .avi file and then run that job and assume it will convert the other file?

Or is there something I'm missing?

Thanks

You will need a software program like AVI Joiner, you can download from here "http://www.avijoiner.com/". Once you have downloaded it, you will need to select the AVI files first. If you still have the original avi files that you converted to iso, then you will need to join those 2 files and then convert the entire set. I hope this helps. I'm glad I could help as I have waited for a week for an answer to my question and still no one has said anything. Good Luck.

Well actually AVI2DVD will handle this for you. The trick is that you must first make sure that the 2 files were encoded EXACTLY the same way. The next step is to name them so AVI2DVD knows how to handle them. Name them in this style:

BlahBlah CD1.avi
BlahBlah CD2.avi
do the same for any subtitles. AVI2DVD will join them automatically!

So I can just load for example BlahBlah 1.avi and then it will automatically combined/load the BlahBlah 2.avi?

Well it has to be blahblah CD1 and blahblah CD2

it always has to be CD1 and CD2 just 1 and 2 wont work. If you get an error, the files are differnt in some way
