I have been using AVI2DVD and DVD Decrypter for a few years now and for some reason the last 8 movies I have converted are faulty. I am using the latest avi2dvd version and the same with avi synth. What actually happens, when you play the dvd on the DVD Player you can see the people talking, but the words are either being spoken earlier or later then when the people in the movie are saying it. I know this sounds strange, but if I could use an example as, saying the word hello. Sometimes the actor in the movie will mouth the words hello, then a few nanoseconds later the words would be spoken, and sometimes the words are spoken, but the mouthed words need to catch up. I know this is confusing, it is for me, but this is a real problem and I can't work out what to do to fix it. I have tried to delete and reinstall all 3 programs, avi2dvd, avi synth and dvd decrypter, but the problem still persists. Can anyone help me with this problem so I can get descent working movies again. Thank you for putting up with my confusing problem. Take Care.

I have installed everything over and over and I am still with the problem. Why do people make these programs with so many problems and then when you ask for help all they do is tell you to reinstall which doesn't fix the problem. Does anyone actually work on this forum that will have an answer to my problem, instead of just giving me an answer that is used for every problem. Do these programs have patches or anything and are there any other programs like avi2dvd that are freeware that do actually work. If so, then can someone give me the url, I am tired of this site as everyday I have to post a new question and then wait a week for an answer.

AVI-Mux GUI is your friend. Even though it is included I've found that a quick run through in the standalone version usually fixes audio sync problems. I would also use it to combine 2 or more part AVIs, as opposed to the various VirtualDubs. No matter what app I use if it's an AVI I run it through AVI-Mux GUI. Do note that it will report 6 channel audio as 5, but once run through avi2dvd all will be fine.

Try it.

alison22000 you must understand that avi2dvd is directshow based .
Your problem is 100% based on your directshow configuration. Do you have installed an mega pack codec ? Do you have installed nero (i reccommend using Infrarecorder and uninstal nero only conflicts gives... )

The next versions of avi2dvd will be less mixed with directshow ...
I already have prepared the 0.4.5 version ...

lately i was able to find out an incopatibility with vista . The new version of avi2dvd fixes that incompatibility.
Try to download the new avi2dvd version 0.4.5 Thanks !
