Problem with part VTS_01_5

Post by classic »

When I encod an avi file that is bigger than 700 mb using any encoder part VTS_01_5 become 124,4 kb size. When I try to play it I see only a photo of the first frame of that part.
When I encode a file that is equal to 700 mb using QuEnc encoder everything is clear but when I use HCEnc encoder the same problem appears.
Help me please anybody! :) And one more question. How can I change the number of VTS files. I mean for example reduce the quantity to 4.

Seeing as it auto sizes (to fill the disc) most full length movies will have 5 VOBs (4+ GBs), this cannot be changed.

If you had the option to manually change the bitrate, lowering it (which will also lower the quality) would result in less VOBs.

If you have some pressing need to have less VOBs you could open your output in DVDShrink, choose 'Custom' under Compression and move the slider to the left until your target disc size is less than 4GB. DVDShrink will then re-encode/transcode to this smaller size. This slight bit of compression will lower the quality, slightly... but it may not be noticeable.
