Problems Playing "Encoded" DVD: HELP, PLEASE!

After more than three hours of encoding and burning (with AVI2DVD), my home DVD players (all three) do not recognize the DVD. However, it can be played on my desk and laptop computers. What have I missed during the encoding that prevents the finished dvd to play on other players besides the computers? Does anyone have solutions?

Some stand-alone DVD Players can be picky about the type of disc they'll recognise. Are you using good quality Verbatims?
Also some Players may accept only +R or -R etc. Check the manual to see what format they like.

Thank you for the reply. I don't think it is about the type of disk, because I used them before on different projects and they work on the same players. So, I still don't know.

Try opening up the output files in DVDShrink (Google it). If you can, they are DVD compliant.
What burning program are you using?
You might have some luck with ImgBurn (Google it). Burn at 4x only to maximise your chances of a good burn.

key points to making sure your disk works in all players is
burn at 4x make sure the player is compatible with dvd-r dvd+r
Make sure the disk is finalised... check the layout of the disk.
should be
\audio_ts
\video_ts
\video_ts\video_ts.bup
\video_ts\video_ts.ifo
\video_ts\vts_01_0.bub
\video_ts\vts_01_0.ifo
\video_ts\vts_01_0.vob
\video_ts\vts_01_1.vob
\video_ts\vts_01_2.vob
\video_ts\vts_01_3.vob
\video_ts\vts_01_4.vob
\video_ts\vts_01_5.vob
if it's all correct. the try making "one" copy using you burner
program useing 4x speed. and test it and see if it works.

I burn at low speed ( imgburn 4x ).

I have tried SVCD VCD & DVD and none of my players not even my computer can read my disks...

Can anyone of u specify my problem?

Some are given as blank.

Only 1 gives a signal wich i can't play : the SVCD one.

Is it possible that my burner is broken? how to check?

the easiest way is to buy another dvd recorder (cost 30$) or borrow one from an friend of yours :S
