Option to turn off fitting subtitles to screen width?

Any suggestions on how to create Chinese IDX/SUB files? I have had a little success with a Chinese .srt file saved in UTF-8 encoding. Unfortunately, Txt2VobSub insists that many lines are too wide for the screen. This is not always true for Chinese characters, as the actual subtitle width is only half that of the subtitle. Could you add option to turn OFF the check for proper screen width? Of course, Unicode support would also be very much appreciated. Thanks.
