Floating point division by zero error

Hi,
I am getting the 'Floating point division by zero' error when i try to load a .avi file into Avi2DVD. My hard drive crashed so i've done a fresh install of Windows 7 Professional 64bit on a new hard drive but when i went to install and use Avi2Dvd for the first time, i get the error above. I remember it working on my old hard drive but i can't remember doing anything special to make Avi2Dvd work?
I've read around the forums on TrustFm and tried fixes like installing Xvid and I'm sure my hard drive is in NTFS format so that can't be the problem. Also the filename doesn't have any weird characters in it (its called video.avi). So i'm stumped at what else to try. Maybe i need some other codecs or something?
Any help is much appreciated.
