Hi All, and thanks to the coder for this fine piece of work.

I have a little problem though, it doesn't seem to work like it should. I'm using AVI2DVD 0.43 and try to convert a AVI with AC3 and an extra subtitle stream (.SRT) to a DVD using AVI2DVD. Everything seems to work smoothly until the DVD authoring part. This is the log (which could be a bit more explicit):

Code: Select all

So AVI2DVD states that the job is done, but the ISO is only 800kB big. The encoded video is muxed and subbed correctly though as it seems. Unfortunately, those files are deleted by AVI2DVD because it thinks the conversion is finished.

What can I do to fix this ? Thanks for all help!

Hi,

I't would be very good that avi2dvd have option to not delete temporary files, so if something goes wrong after avi->m2v, m2v wont be deleted, and muxing can be done manualy .

I had a simular problem and I solved it by re-processing the movie in virtualdub...for some reason avi2dvd didn't like the file...might have been an error in the original. Once I did a "full process" (the audio and video) avi2dvd processed it as normal.

My specific problem was almost half the movie was getting cut out of the authoring portion of avi2dvd...odd

Also, I don't remember if I did this or not...if you have a 2 part movie, join them first then process in vdub.

btw..if your audio is encoded in a VBR...you can't append them in vdub...you first have to convert the audio to a CBR...then join. (If someone knows of a workaround for this, please add...but I doubt there is using vdub)
