It's XviD codec what you need.
From http://nic.dnsalias.com/xvid.html you can download it.

Regards.

I'm having the same problem but I already have the XVID codec installed. I'm using the K-Lite Codec Pack. I've never had this problem before. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

uninstall klite and do manual install of any particular codec you need
klite and other codec packs are best way to mess up entire system
if this do not help I'm sorry but try to reinstall windows and no codec packs on clean instalation

Installing the other Xvid codec over k lite worked fine. Thanks.

I get the same error each time. I installed the Xvid codec as suggested, then rebooted but the error continues.

Should I have moved the Xvid files somewhere in particular for Avisynth to find them? I'm not sure I understand what's happening.

Thanks in advance, if anyone has any ideas.

hi csr,

from the looks it's not a XVID codec you are after, but a DV based one called 'dvsd'

head to here

http://www.fourcc.org/codecs.php

and look at the types in the left hand column - careful cause there is a 'dsvd' there as well, which is confusing!

that should lead you in the right direction. i found installing new codecs only works for AVI2DVD when you have restarted yr computer. hope that helps
