can i burn an avi i converted to a mini dvd file on a cd+r or do i need to convert it to a vcd format? u can burn vcd onto a cd+r, right? and which programs r best for this type of conversion? thanks in advance, please forgive the newbie.

the minidvd format is not supported by avi2dvd and i do not know another program .
If your source is avi you can make an VideoCD (VCD) which is an video on cd by using avi2dvd
