Watching vobsub (visual idx/sub) subtitles on PC...
The subtitles must have the same name with the movie, ex :
Matrix.avi
Matrix.idx
Matrix.sub
1 method) Using Media Player Classic HC
2 method) Using the Vobsub filter and any directshow player like bsplayer , Arpa Kolla Player or Windows Media Player

Watching on standalone DVD...
If your DVD player can reproduce vobsub files then you just have to load your dvd with the film and press the subtitle button on your remote control .
