Selecting the case...

It's time now to make the third step. Beautiful cases are not always best choices also. Except good looking it must be friendly with the hardware. Small sizes are for low power consuming systems and large for "hot". Also cold systems can be low noise even silent with low cost. High end Htpcs will be a bit noisy PCs. If noise is a problem for you then water cooling is recommended.

Attention !!! When you choose to buy an Htpc case be sure that it can support your PCI cards. There are cases which support only low profile cards! Also be careful with mini ITX cases, some of them accept low profile RAM DIMMs only! There are three categories for cases beginning with the smallest size:
